Children's Hospital Foundation Fundraising
The news we have been waiting to share with you all is FINALLY here! Last month we had the pleasure of hosting our largest ever BC
Children's Hospital Foundation Fundraising Event and with the support of you all we have donated a total amount of $30,000!
Our last fundraising event we donated $18,000 and this year we nearly doubled it at $30,000.
A massive THANK YOU to everyone that supported the cause, we can't wait to see you all at our next event! It's not just about building homes here at Versa but to also support the community in which we live in and we are glad to have the amazing support of you all to make it happen.
5th Annual Pig Roast for BC Children's Hospital
On August 20th, 2016, Versa Homes will host its 5th Annual Pig Roast in support of the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.
All children who are seriously ill or injured in British Columbia, are referred to the BC Children's Hospital, the province's only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital.
At Versa Homes, we've always believed that family comes first. Last year, we were able to raise $6,275.00. This year, our goal is $20,000.00!
Join us, and help make a difference in the lives of over a million children across BC and the Yukon.
As you know and have been a personal part of every year running, Felipe hosts an annual BBQ in benefit of the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Last year he opted instead to choose a worthy family in need of a renovation to donate Versa's love and efforts to. He's connected with a lovely young lady Sharon, whom is a single mum of two young boys, Nateo and Huxley. Unfortunately, little Huxley has had a rough go of it health-wise. We're in the process of building him and his brother a super awesome playroom where they can learn, play and grow up together.
"Last November at the age of 10 months, Huxley was really sick. This led to an ER visit which landed him in BC Children’s Hospital for 5.5 months. Huxley was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A rare form of Leukemia. Huxley went through intense chemo treatments, resulting in remission. It was intense. Huxley had reactions, he was constantly quarantined to his room and he got meningitis in the hospital and ended up having seizures along the way."
